I live in Las Vegas most of the time, once a month I come to Northern Kentucky. And at least two times every time I have to stop here and get one of their sandwiches. Amazing. The price is amazing too. This restaurant has become my "skyline' whenever I come to town I must have one....or two.

The other west side double decker place besides price hill chili. I love them both. My only critics is cash only and the prices are topping out. It's always clean, service is always good and friendly, and I've never had a bad meal. I've only tried double deckers and chili cheese fries. It's all I want when I go here. Blue Ash Chili Was the best back in the day, but not since it sold. Go get a big ol double decker at j and j

I came here with my son for dinner tonight. It was everything I'd hoped it would be. I wanted to try it for several months since we recently moved so close by. I just wanted a simple, tasty, filling meal without overspending. It is an unpretentious and small place, but bright and clean. After reading on another review about how good their roast beef for the sandwiches was, I had to try it. When I was much younger, I would get a roast beef, egg and swiss double decker at the Acropolis on Winton road in finneytown which had closed a long time ago. I've not had one as good for many years. This sandwich exceeded my expectations! The beef was delicious. It was HUGE, I happily took half home. I kid you not, it was less than 3 minutes after I ordered that I got the sandwich. My son ordered a burger and fries. The fries were piping hot and he enjoyed his burger. After chatting with the waitress about the acropolis and people I had known who attended her Greek Orthodox church, she went to get me a sample of their house made chili so I could taste how good it was for my next trip back Really lovely experience and I'll definitely be back or ordering carry out. As good as the chili was, I'll probably let stick with the beef, egg and Swiss.

If you're looking for a good breakfast or lunch spot, I came across J & J restaurant on Cincinnati's Westside. It's all about good home cooking, getting a good meal at a fair price and friendly smiles and good service. I chose the roast beef sandwich. This is real roast beef baked in an oven and absolutely delicious. Reminded me of what my mother would've cooked when special guests were coming over. I saw a few breakfast dishes go by even though we were in the middle of lunch hour and I made a mental note to go here for breakfast. Oh! Bring cash... they don't accept credit cards.

My turkey and cheese sandwich was delicious! Excellent turkey just the way I like it. Home fries plate was HUGE and they were delicious. Next time I think I'll try it with cheese to give it some extra flavor. My sister got a cheeseburger and it was pretty small but she liked it as well. We didn't really know what to do when we walked in and had servers walk past us and not say anything. So, for everyone who is new to this place just find a clean table and sit! We had to go up to the counter and ask and the lady who responded was not the friendliest but our server was EXTREMELY nice. The food and our waitress made it a great experience. It is pretty small but I love family owned places and this place is definitely a nice place. Try it out for yourself- you won't regret it!

Everyone have been raving about this place so I decided to check it out for lunch. Wasn't crowded and the waitress seemed surprised that it wasn't since she said they usually line up outside for lunch since it's a small place. I consider myself lucky. I asked her what was 5he popular item on the menu. She said since it was my first time she said the chili was good and got me a sample to try. I got a 5 way and coney. The sauce was good and different not like your typical skyline or Gold Star. They had a lot of cheese and it was a good portion. I saw other items I would like to try. The waitress mentioned their breakfast were big but one think that surprised me is that the don't serve goetta for a westside restaurant. I will be back to try other items on their menu. One thing to note is that they are a cash only restaurant but they have an ATM in there.

Needed a quick bite.. this place surprised me. Located in a strip mall. Very low key. Definitely flying under the radar. Ms. Michelle was our attentive waitress. I ordered the Big Spero Platter. Very reasonably priced and made to order. Double burger with lettuce tomatoes, onion and cheese. It was perfect. Reminded me of small mom and pop joints in the day. Filling, plain American food. A welcome surprise.
